US American job opportunities
We are in search of qualified hospitality candidates to be placed in 4 and 5 star hotels such as, Marriott, Crowne Plaza, Grand Hyatt, Sheraton, Hilton and Wyndham Hotels on 18 months PAID management/supervisory and entry level traineeships in major USA states & cities ( Florida, Washington, California, New York, Virginia, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Illinois, New Jersey, Rhode Island)
The main aims & objectives of this program are to give you:
- the opportunity to learn how to apply your academic knowledge in the workplace, gaining real-life, hands-on experience;
- the break you deserve to gain those all important employability skills which future recruiters and employers are demanding;
- the opportunity to work on your own personal and professional development with quality support throughout the experience;
- the opportunity to explore the world, travel and meet some amazing people.
This program is available to start every month. As a guideline, you'll need to apply at least 2 months prior to your anticipated start date.

In this section, it's difficult to write exactly about the location as our placements can be across the whole of the US and I'm sure you appreciate that each city, state has its own nuances. Although we will take into consideration your location preferences, you'll need to be flexible about the exact location.
Americans are famed for their customer service and hospitality. This is a chance to get to grips with the US "have a nice day" attitude, learning about their methods in customer service, seeing their attitude to work and a whole lot more which is bound to give you an edge to your professional development in this field.
Type of Host Companies:
Our internship placements will vary between opportunities within large multi-national chains to smaller, independently owned hotels. Host companies might be a hotel, country club or resort which tend to be of at least 3* standard or above, with most being 4* or 5* quality. This provides an opportunity to learn about the very best standards of service and operations.
Type of Internship Positions:
The exact nature of each internship position and the internship experience will vary between participants as we tailor the positions to your academic background, skills and requirements.
Front Desk: Assisting with the welcoming and checking-in of guests; verifying customers’ credit cards and payment; keeping records of room availability and guest accounts; performing some simple bookkeeping activities such as computing bills, collecting payment, updating the hotel records; liaising with housekeeping and maintenance staff if guests report problems; handling telephone calls and email enquiries.
Food and Beverage: Training in the areas of food preparation and management; ensuring compliance with food safety and fire regulations; monitoring food preparation methods, portioning, presentation and garnishing; scheduling and receiving food deliveries; assisting with the co-ordination of schedules for the kitchen staff.
Housekeeping Rotational: Assisting the head housekeeper with the management of the housekeeping team; checking rooms for the cleanliness; developing a check-list chart; reporting defects in cleanliness to the head housekeeper; responding to customer needs as informed by front desk; reporting issues, as required, to maintenance and ensuring issues are dealt with promptly.
You should note, that you are not allowed to change placements and/or host company once you’re in the US, so we do need to know about your requirements for the internship at the application stage and we'll work closely with you to find a suitable match for your position.
Quality of Internship Placements:
We are proud of the standards we've set for our internship placements, the requirements with host companies and ensuring that you gain an opportunity to put your knowledge into practice and learn new skills. Clear procedures are in place for host companies and interns, to ensure that the placement is well set up and organized.
It should be noted that our internship program do have strict entry requirements. When you apply, your application will be reviewed, along with a telephone interview. After this phase you'll know if you're accepted to this program or not.

Language skill requirements
Participants must be fluent or have advanced English language skills
Intern profile & expectations
All applicants will need to do a telephone interview in order to be formally accepted onto this program. During the interview, we'll be trying to understand your current level of maturity, ability to be independent, think on your feet, and be flexible and the level of motivation you have to learn from this program.
In order to be able to enter the US, candidates must apply for a J1 visa at the US embassy in the country where they live. J1 is a non- immigrant visa that is used for cultural experience in the United States, under the Exchange Visitor Program.

Step2: Acceptance Decision Made
A telephone interview with the US partner will be done in case we consider you qualify, and your application documents will be reviewed. Then you'll be informed, whether or not you've been accepted onto the program.
Step3: Registration fee payment
Directly following a successful phone-interview, the applicant must transfer the registration fee in the sum of $1200 USD. The payment must be sent no later than 48 hours after the phone interview date. The applicant must sign the agreement and return it via e-mail.
Step4: Internship Program set-up
This part takes the longest time. Our partner office in America will be busy matching you to a position with a suitable host company, arranging the internship training plans, etc. You will need to be available to do telephone interviews with prospective host companies, as required. Once the internship is confirmed, we'll issue the documents you need for the visa application and the program fee must be paid.
Step5: Make Your Travel Arrangements and then, GO!
